Sweet Blossom

This is one of Sylvia Zet's Wee Digi Stamps called  Sweet Blossom.    Isn't she sweeeet?

I followed the sketch from Friday Sketchers to make my card.   The DPs are from the same Jack n' Jill paper stack that I used in my previous post and these Prima flowers are from this collection as well.   I colored my image with copic markers, dabbed around the image with Hero Arts shadow ink and distressed the edges of the papers.  My sentiment is from TLC Creations.
I'm grateful to Nicole, for showing me how I could get my copic colors to match my papers by simply going over my original colors (B's, R's YG's and G's) with the W markers.  If you're a coloring beginner as I am, you'll see what I mean by watching her video here (middle to ending section of video).    Of course I didn't understand a word she was saying, LOL, but as they say--pictures are worth a thousand words!    Thanks Nicole, you're quite an inspiration!

Before I leave, and on a serious note, I hope none of you are suffering from the recent tsunami disaster and that you and your loved ones are all safe.  I'm so grateful that my nephew and his wife are safe in Japan but I'm still worried about what they and the people of Japan must now be facing.  I pray for their safety.

Take care everyone and thanks for visiting!

what a beautiful card you colored Shirley! I love her as she's so cute and you did a fabulous job on the sketch challenge. I love your DP and the flowers. it really gives the whole card a gentle, soft look. yes, I agree, I had the hardest time understanding a word she was saying and even a harder time trying to figure out what she was saying. I think I will just take your word for it. hope you are safe and well and have a good week!

I LOVE how you've colored this darling image & must go watch that video to see if it can help me color as amazing as you ... Those Wee stamps are so darn cute & I'm sure a couple more are going to land in my cart right away. I have the 1st 3 she did but this one you've done is a must have.
Wonderful work as always.

I love your adorable image and coloring of her, great take on the sketch too!! I feel deeply saddened for the people of Japan, it will be hard to recover from all of the loss. Now they have to worry about all the radiation exposure too, it's so sad.

BEAUTIFUL!!!! Love it, love your coloring too!

I agree, I'm so heartbroken for the ppl of Japan and anyone living there! They're now evacuating the bases so I'm relieved that they get to be out of harms way during this horrible time. I'm sad that the Japanese can't just evacuate to the States because that is their home... I pray for them every night! So, so, sad (*o*)

so ultra charming Shirley...the sweetest for sure! love her and your card designing/coloring! I like to use grays with red too... and I agree the grays really do help get the copics to match pattern paper better... kinda like hit the mute, I mean "gray" button! duh! lol
oh, I hope they make these cute gals in stamps!
