My Lil' Chickadee

I guess by now you know I'm a huge Pure Innocence fan and I can't get enough of her, but did you know I also can't have enough Martha Stewart punches or Nestabilities?!  I keep wanting more everytime I see a new one--and these 2 ladies are no help, LOL.   I just love everything that Pam (Expressions With Heart) and Cindy (Cindy Haffner's Corner) create and everytime I see a new punch or nestie on their blog...oh my such bad influences.  Just kidding, you ladies are my inspiration!

Hooray! It's Your Birthday and Candy Winner

Yup, another Pure Innocence card, I can't seem to get enough of these PI images. I needed to make a birthday card for a dear friend so thought this image would be the perfect one to shout out not only my birthday greetings but also the winner of my bubble bath candy.

Where Do They Live?

Belles 'n Whistles has a special challenge going on right now.  It's "Where do your Belles 'n Whistles Stamps Live?"  Summer wants to see all the different places that Belles 'n Whistles stamps reside.  She wants a view!    Well, I'm not as imaginative as my DF Elise--lookie here--so although it may be boring, this is where my precious B'nW stamps live.  You may recognize some of my other precious treasures, too.  :)

Bubble Bath

When was the last time you took a bubble bath?  I can't even remember, how sad is that.  I think I'm due for one--Calgon take me away!

I saw a tutorial by Mel McCarthy of Mel Stampz on how to make shiny tiles and when I saw this adorable Pure Innocence image, I was inspired to create a bathroom scene with her too.   If you haven't visited Mel's blog, you must--she is very creative and most inspiring.  You can find her tutorial on making shiny tiles here.

I used Mel's technique but I didn't follow her process exactly.  First, I took a piece of DP and ran it through my Xyron machine so I could have an adhesive backing.  Then I cut it into squares and adhered them to a piece of white cardstock, leaving spaces between each square--for the grout as she put it lol.  After the squares were all in place, I took my VersaMark stamp pad, patted it all over the paper, covered it with embossing powder and heated it with a heat gun.  The floor was embossed as well.  Since I didn't have any clear dew drops, I put drops of Diamond Glaze on the tile to create my water drops, sprinkled glitter on her suds and glued on some crystal tube beads.

Coming back to my opening question, "when was the last time you took a bubble bath?", I'm actually really curious as to how you would answer that.  Since my bubble bath was probably when I was a child, I'm wondering if that's really pathetic, LOL! 

Ok, I know in poker the saying goes "pay to see" so here's the deal--I'll put up candy for your answer to my question.  The question is, "When was the last time you took a bubble bath and if you weren't alone, who were you with?".  Ohhh, I can't believe I said that.  Well, I guess you could lie--I'd never know....

Some Bunny Loves You

When I came home from my Vegas trip several weeks ago, I entered the Easter Release Blog Hop at All That Scraps and would you believe won the entire set of six Baby Bunnies by Amy Young!  Now, I will tell you I am NEVER lucky in Vegas but OMG, I sure have been lucky in blogland.    Thank you so much Christine and All That Scraps!   I just LOVE these babies!

Although it was hard for me to part with some of my babies, I wanted to share these bunnies with some friends so sent 4 of them to their new homes and kept 2 for myself.  You already met Baby Bunnies "Butterfly" in my preious post, this is Baby Bunnies "Bunny".

I orginally wanted to make this card with my embossed and distressed dots background paper because I was making this card for the All That Scraps Weekly Wednesday Challenge with the theme being "Dots and Stripes" but it just wasn't coming together nicely.  So I used DP instead and hope that my dotted button will be enough to pass.  Also, do you think plaid would pass for "stripes"?  Oh well...guess I need to find challenges that say use whatever is in your stash, LOL.

As I mentioned in my previous post, if you already don't have any of Amy's bunnies, and I'm sure you'll want at least one for your Easter cards, you can get them at the All That Scraps On-line Store.    See them here, they come in rubba or digis.

Thanks to Donna's and Jennifer Mcguire's blogs, I was inspired to try my hand at making my own background paper using distress inks.   I sponged 2 colors on this card and spritzed some water on the top section to get that splotchy effect.  This was the first time I tried this technique and it took me several trys.  I hope I'll get better with practice. 

As you can see, I'm loving these Nestie-sized cards.  In fact, my next post will be similar and I'll be casing yet another one of Donna's cards.  Thanks Donna for all your email help and tips!  I've learned so much from you and from Jennifer's videos. 

Now, about this adorable image.  Isn't he the cutest most sweetest bunny?  He is one of six of Amy Young's Sweet November Baby Bunnies.  Amy's bunnies come in rubba and digi so if you gotta have them too, you can find them at All That Scraps and Munchkins in Hawaii.
