A few weeks ago, my girlfriend and I were talking over lunch about our upcoming birthdays next month and although it's true that time flies when you're having fun, we both cannot believe we'll soon be another decade older! What you see above is just about how some of our conversation went that day so I thought it would fun to put it into a card for her.  

I used Tim Holtz's stamp, Bird Crazy, colored them with copics, put Glossy Accents on their eyes, and sponged the balloon with distress ink.  My quotes were computer-generated and cut out with dies.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

The theme this week at Simon Says Stamp Challenge is Happy Birthday.  Happy 7th Birthday Simon Says!

I used the Misti to stamp my stripes and flowers.   I'm so glad I finally broke down to buy the Misti as I could not have gotten away with stamping these things only once.  It took me at least 3 times to get a good coverage, especially the stripes.   My birthday sentiment is stamped on the inside.

Simon Says:  Make It Sparkle.  Of all the Christmas cards I made this year, this was the most sparkly. In fact, with this glitter paper, I ended up a little sparkly too, lol.

Hello!   Thanks for dropping in.

This is the birthday card I made for my grandson who recently turned 4.  Since Tate loves balloons, I wanted to make them my focal point so I replaced Roboto's balloons with Avery Elle's party balloons, as they were much larger.  

I used my DIY stamping tool that I learned to make from Hallmark Scrapbook & Crafts to stamp the balloons.   I ended up stamping and restamping each balloon several times so my DIY tool got the job done, but it also made me love the concept of  the Misti tool even more so I'll probably break down and buy me a Misti sooner than I planned.
