Wishing You a Perfect Day

My sister made some crochet flowers for me and because they are so pretty I had to make a card using her flowers as the focal point (thanks sis, I just love your flowers!), but I also couldn't resist adding Amy Young's Bumbles again 'cause he's so darned cute!

The challenges:

The recipe:
Paper:  the Girl's Paperie
Stamps:  Sweet November Digi by Amy Young; Whiff of Joy sentiment
Tools:  Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Martha Stewart fence punch, corner punch
Other:  Copic Markers, Memento, embroidery thread, buttons, pop dots

Thanks for looking and wishing you not only
a perfect day but a perfect weekend!

Bloomin' Wonderful

Hello!  I hope you are all having
 a bloomin' wonderful day!

Yesterday, I was all set to make a card--had my DP, embellies and sentiment out, and then, agh! none of the stamps I had seemed to go with what I had in mind.  I later thought of Amy Young's Darby & Bumbles images and just had to have it so I logged in to All That Scraps, ordered and downloaded the digital images and in seconds was all set to go again.   Aren't digitals wonderful!

This turned into an easel card because the sentiment was large and Stampin' Up! Stitched Sweet Pea flowers were used (thanks again Brenda!) as it fit perfectly for the challenges with sewing themes.

 The challenges:
All That Scraps - Sewing on your project
Simon Says Stamp! - Things with Wings
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Challenge 100, Happy Birthday

The recipe:
Paper:  My Mind's Eye, Quite Contrary
Stamp:  Sweet November Digitals image by Amy Young; My Favorite Things Punch a Bunch
Tools:  Martha Stewart Grass Punch; Colluzle
Other:  Copic Markers, Stampin' Up! Felt Sweet Pea, ribbon, pop dots, Dew Drops, rub-on stitches

Before I leave you, I just want to give a big thank you shout out to a dear blogging friend and creator of  these Sweet November stamps-- Amy Young!   I can't believe how lucky I was to have won her preview giveaway of her newest fairy, Clover Greenfield. Not only did I win this new stamp and a huge bunch of embellies , I also won Amy's handmade card--the most gorgeous card ever!!! Visit Amy's blog HERE for a better view of her card. I was so thrilled to have won an Amy original, I was doing cartwheels!!! Thank you Amy, I look at your card every day and am mesmerized by Clover's beauty!  I hope to ink her up soon.

Thanks everyone for dropping by.
I really appreciate your visits and sweet comments!

Just Magnolia

There are so many techniques and projects that I have on my list to try and this was one of them--the tent card.  Many of you have already tried this but if you haven't and you'd like to make this too, you can find Dena's tutorial here.  It's a fun card to make.

Although this card was entered in several challenges, it was especially nice to take part in Just Magnolia's birthday challenge.    Happy 1st Birthday Just Magnolia!!!

To make this card, I flipped the sketch, added foam core to the seat of Tilda's swing (so she could sit comfortably without falling off), cut out some flowers from the DP to scatter on the trellis and added the grass to hide the folds of the card.

The challenges:
KLSNS Challenge #26 - Bling it on!
Creative Belli #89 - Die cut shapes
The Crafty Pad Challenge #67 - Stitching

The recipe:
Paper:  Magnolia Ink - Under the mistletoe
Stamp:  Magnolia Jam Tilda Yummy Tummy and Magnolia Swing
Ink:  Memento, Copic Markers
Tools:  Martha Stewart Garden Trellis, Grass and Butterfly punches; Oval Nestabilities
Other:  Diamond Stickles, half pearls, flowers, rub-on stitches and pop dots

Thanks so much for looking and have a great week!

Thank You

Just wanted to relay a big THANK YOU to some very special blogging friends for the happy mail I have received.

Tammi's blog candy was supposed to be only the stamp but she also sent me her card and some stamped images.  When I opened the mail I ran to my DH and jumping up and down with excitement said--she didn't have to but she sent me her card, too!!!  I love my card Tammi, thank you so much--it is gorgeous and I'll treasure that the most!

Donna sent me a thank you card and she also included a nice stamp set.  Thank you Donna, but you shouldn't have sent me the stamps.  I'm glad you sent me the card, tho, LOL!   I'm so happy to have any of your cards to see and hold IRL, beautiful!

Another candy win, yippie!  Jodi emailed me yesterday saying she had mailed my winnings and I now have a sore neck for looking out of my window checking for the postman all day, lol!  It was worth it, I'll do anything for a Jodi original, and it is a beauty!  Thanks Jodi, love the pens, too!

I've been lucky not only for winning fabulous blog candies but for having the chance to meet these talented ladies who have also been a great inspiration to me.  I have learned so much from all of you.  Thank you, thank you, thank you Tammi, Donna and Jodi!!!

You Are Amazing

I've been so bad lately, I've just been sitting for hours on end watching Korean dramas.  Not the ones on tv (those run for only an hour at a time), but the ones on the internet where you can watch one episode after another, until you reach The End...

But! this did not keep me from blog hopping--would never stop visiting you for I love seeing all of your wonderful creations.  I may be guilty of not leaving a comment or leaving just a short comment (sorry), but would not miss visiting you.  Every day I am more and more amazed with the things you come up with.   I've seen so many jaw-dropping creations lately that I must say (tho not my words)--my sentiments exactly, "You Are Amazing"!

The challenge:
The Sugar Bowl - Challenge 33, Gayle's Sketch

The recipe:
Paper:  Basic Grey, LilyKate
Stamp:  Sugar Nellie - Fragile Beauty; Whiff of Joy - sentiments

Happy Anniversary!

I know,  a Precious Moments card again--but wait, there's a reason for another one so soon.  My brother just celebrated his 5th wedding anniversary a few days ago (and I don't usually make them a card) but when I came across this image by chance yesterday, the moment I saw it I knew I just had to make them a card.  You see, he sang to his bride on their wedding day, and this is--so them!   I wish I could show you their picture (looks almost like this) but if I did, they would probably strangle me, lol!

The image that I used is a digital one and I got it here at the Coloring Book.  If you got rid of all your old PM stamps (eh Elise?), no need to fret--you can find a lot of PM images there.  It's a great place to download all kinds of images for your children to color.  I learned about this site from Juls' blog  (see her beautiful Precious Moments card here).  TFS Juls!

The Challenges:
Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC61) - Bought it use it (flowers)
Stamp Something - Pink Somethings

The Recipe:
Paper:  Anna Griffin DPs
Stamp:   Digital image from the Coloring Book
Ink:  Copic Markers
Tools:  Sizzlits Flowers, Branches & Leaves die
Other:  Liquid Pearls White Opal, Prima mini roses, Kaisercraft pearls, rub-on stitches, dimensionals

Thanks for dropping by and
have a great day!
