Simon Says.... Anything Goes so I thought I'd get a head start with my Mother's Day card.  Heather's card was my inspiration.  When I saw her gorgeous vellum flower, I had to try stamping and embossing on vellum too.   This turned out to be a fast and easy CAS card.  I've been leaning toward CAS designs lately as I'm so bad with layouts using pattern papers and embellies.

I now have time to craft again, Tate's been going to daycare/preschool 3 days a week.   But that extra time will soon dwindle down to zero in a few months--we're expecting Tate's brother this October.  Yay!!!   Guess I'll really have to make good use of the next few months if I want to build up a card stash, lol.

Wishing you a blessed Easter

After watching Jill Foster's video on coloring with watercolor pencils, I was inspired to do some watercoloring.  I made a clean and simple Easter card using Rosie from Purple Onion Designs and colored her with Stampin' Up! Watercolor Pencils.    It was fun crafting again.  Think I'll even join in on a challenge as well:  Simon Says,,,,,Anything Goes.  Thanks for looking!

Happy 1st Birthday Tate!

It's hard to believe a whole year has flown by and Tate is now a year old!   At first I was going to buy him a Hallmark birthday card but when my sister showed me the card that she made for him, I felt so guilty.  Having little Tate around gives me little time and energy for blog hopping or card making but I thought if Auntie took the time to make him a card, well grandma better make him a card too, lol!     This image reminded me of him--he loves playing in the pool or at the beach.


Here's our precious little rascal.  He's quite an active little boy and by the end of the day, grandma and grandpa are totally pooped!  lol.

And this is the beautiful card my sister made.   So cute!

Amy did a video recently on how she puts a card together.  When she shared her out-of-the-frame cutting technique using her coluzzle, I thought it was pure genius.   I was so excited after watching her that I had to give it a try.  Luckily I had a heart-shaped coluzzle so was able to make another Valentine card while I was at it.   I agree with you, Amy, I thought it was so much easier and faster using a coluzzle than a nestabilities die.   Thanks so much for sharing your fabulous tip!   Watch Amy's video here (the last video shows her cutting technique).

Friends are the Flowers of Life - Tiddly Inks Blog Hop

When I first saw Tiddly Inks' "Wryn--Grow a Little Love", I just had to have her.  Isn't she adorable and just the perfect image for a Valentines card or project?    Christy has other Wryn images that are equally adorable and you can see and read about them here.  I'm sure I'll "just have to have" all the others too!  ;)

This image was actually placed on the cover of a notebook that I purchased from Ben Franklin for only $1.   I'm hoping I can find the time to make several more for Valentines.  We'll just have to see if Tate will let me, LOL!

I think I have just enough time to post this on Tiddly Inks Challenge blog and join in on their first blog hop of 2012.  Sounds like fun!

Live Laugh Love

Hello friends, I hope your New Year was off to a happy and healthy start!  Although I haven't been able to do much crafting lately, I do have one item to share with you today.    This is an altered note paper box that I made for my DIL. 

 
The DP I used is from the Lost & Found Madison Avenue paper pack and the image is Itty Bitty Unity Stamp "Live, Laugh, Love Girl", a great motto for the New Year.  I colored her with Prisma colored pencils and copics.   I'd like to join in the fun and enter this project in Unity's Gift Wrapping/Gift Giving Challenge and Simon Says New Something Challenge.
