Wishing you a lovely day!

Hello fellow crafters!   I hope you're having a great weekend!

The inspiration for my CAS card today came from three challenges--two of them have birthday themes and the third is a color challenge--coral, aqua and grey:  Addicted to Stamps and More #247 Make Your Mark; Seize the Birthday Anything Goes; and Cas-ual Fridays CFC176 Color Challenge.

The bicycle is from a digital print & cut stamp set (Camping) from Lori Whitlock, the butterfly is from a rubber stamp set from Lili of the Valley (Easter Sweeties), and the sentiment is from Stampendous (Posie Greetings).  I used copic markers and colored pencils to color.

Thanks so much for stopping by!   Have a great week!

 Happy 5th Birthday!

Congrats Grad!

Penny Black "Grad"; Studio 490 Wendy Vecchi "Art From Us" sentiment

Today I'm sharing a graduation card I made for my niece using her school colors.  The Penny Black Grad image was stamped on Bristol Vellum paper, water colored with Tombow markers and cut with the ScanNCut 2 machine.  The window for the sentiment was cut with the Rectangle Peek-a-Boo Window Die-namics from MFT and with the scattering of a few sequins, the card was done.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit.   Have a great week!

Hi-Ya

I finally made my first inter-active card with the action wobble springs that I bought last year.  I put the spring in back of the ninja warrior in red and when you give him a little flick, his whole body goes into action, so fun!  I showed this card to my DH and he really got a kick out of it.  Did I say "kick"? LOL.

Here's a picture of the red warrior delivering his karate kick to his opponent.  Ouch!

Ninja-mazing by MFT

I colored my images with copic markers and cut them out with my newly-acquired ScanNCut 2 machine.  I'm hoping this will eventually pay for itself since I will no longer have to buy the corresponding dies to the stamp sets.

I will be linking my card to the following challenges:
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge:  Anything Goes
Simon Says Monday Challenge:  The Great Outdoors

Thank you so much for stopping by, I really appreciate it!

Birthday Wishes for You

I love challenges.  I look to them for inspiration and they also give me the incentive to create.  The added plus to this is that it also helps me build up my card stash.  :)

This week's theme at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is Showers and/or Flowers and flowers are always great for birthday cards.   To create my card I used Simon Says Stamp's "Spring Flowers", with their coordinating dies, and distress inks to blend the colors onto the flowers.  The DP I used is called "Market Street" from My Mind's Eye and my sentiment is from Your Next Stamp called "What Not Sentiments Four".

I'll also be linking this to Simon Says Stamp's Work it Wednesday for April.

Thank you so much for your visit!  Hope you're having a wonderful day!

We Have a Birthday!

Hi there!  I'm back today to play in some challenges.  Since Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is "Happy Birthday", in celebration of their 8th birthday, I made this card to join in the fun.  The stamp and die set I used is Space Explorer from My Favorite Things.  I colored my images with copic markers and I used distress inks to create the background.

Since I did some spraying to create the splotches in the background and used a slider die from Your Next Stamp, I'll also be entering HLS Mixed Media April Challenge, Sprays, and HLS April Anything Goes with Dies.

I also wanted to share with you another project that I made with this stamp set.  My grandson, Tate, and my husband would often have discussions about our solar system and how the planets orbit our sun. Listening to Tate trying to name all the planets is what inspired me to buy this stamp set.  I wanted to make a space board that my grandsons could play with but yet learn from.

I purchased a magnetic dry erase board and attached magnetic sheets to my background paper as well as all the images so each object could be moved around and played with.  Hopefully we'll have some fun lessons with this as well.  (Some of the planets came from the Lawn Fawn Out of This World stamp set.)

Thanks so much for visiting and have a great day!

Bring on the Happy!

My Favorite Things Funky Flowers; Penny Black Sprinkles & Smiles (sentiment)

I thought I should build up my card stash so looked through some challenges for inspiration:

Simon Says Bit O' Green
Cas-ual Fridays CFC169 Off the Edge
AAA Cards CAS Game #86-Diecuts

I heat embossed the flowers, leaves and stems in white and cut them out with the matching dies.  The ink blending was done with Simon Says Spring Flowers hybrid inks and distress inks.  The floral centers are dew drops from the old stash.

Appreciate your stopping by, thanks so much for looking!

Hugs

MFT Snuggle Bunnies stamp and Big Hugs die

Hello!

Today I'll be sharing a card that I made for my sister.  She's been feeling under the weather so I wanted to send her a big hug to let her know I was thinking of her.   I wanted it to be CAS, focusing on the word HUGS.  I used MFT's Big Hugs die and the cute little critters from their Snuggle Bunnies stamp set.  She said it made her smile.  :)

Thanks for looking!    Hugs!
