I was inspired to start my Halloween favors early this year after seeing all the cute Halloween products being sold at the stores.  The fun Halloween things you see in the picture are rings that light up when pressed.  My grandsons love anything that lights up but here's to hoping they won't just tear open their milk cartons just to get whats inside.   Grandma can only hope, lol.

Welcome Little One

I made another baby card, this time for a boy.  I guess I could have just made a gender-neutral card and colored this in typical yellow but I wanted a definite baby girl or baby boy card to give to my nephew and niece-in-law.   The cute little images from Jane's Doodles were colored with copic markers and the word "baby" and the heart (which by the way is blue and not black as it appears) are similar to sequin embellishments.

My nephew and his wife are expecting the birth of their second child in a few weeks.  They are choosing not to know their baby's sex before birth so I thought I'd be prepared by having baby cards for both genders ready in advance of the happy news.

I made a card with the Simon Says Stamp - Fabulous Florals and AAA Cards Game #70 - Stitching challenges in mind.  I colored the floral image with Chameleon Pens, added some shading with Prismacolored Pencils, and gave it a little sparkle with the Wink of Stella glitter marker. 

I'm always grateful for these challenges as they give me the inspiration and incentive to put a card together.  Thank you Simon Says and AAA Cards and thank you for dropping by.

Technique Tuesday Chickadees; Prima Jack and Jill Flowers

Today is day 20 of  the 30 Day Coloring Challenge at The Daily Maker.  I've been practicing my coloring with distress inks lately so I thought I'd use a very simple image for my first card.   My inspiration also came from the colors on Color Throwdown ctd402 and the theme from Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, Things With Wings.

Inspirational Quote

Concord & 9th Sophisticated Script Stamp Set, 

Studio G stamps, Wink of Stella Brush Glitter Marker,

My sister-in-law gave me a coloring book of "inspiring quotes to color and keep" and as I was flipping through the book, I was inspired to make a coloring page of my own with one of my favorite motivational quotes.  

I stamped each letter with Versafine Onyx black ink to make the hand-scripted words, and I colored the floral images with copic and chameleon markers.  I used the colors from ColourQ's Challenge No. 350 and I followed the last row of Cas-ual Fridays Tic Tac Toe Challenge 152.  I used enamel dots on my flowers, did not use any patterned paper and although it's hard to see, I added sparkle to the flowers with a Wink of Stella brush.

Kathy's 30 Day Coloring Challenge continues to inspire me to color a few minutes a day and I must say I AM doing more of what makes me happy.  :)
